Tenant Services

Whether you are experienced in renting property or a first timer we will try to understand what type of property you are looking to rent and gain your feedback on the ones you view.

Once you have decided on the property for you there are few steps to becoming a Property Link Tenant.

Step 1
Viewing properties
Step 2
You will be given our Tenancy Application Form, which needs to be completed in full and returned to the local office together with identification and proof of current address. You will be informed how much money is required to be paid at this stage.
Step 3
The local office will process your application and inform you if it has been successful.
Step 4
A moving in date will now be agreed. We will advise you of the amount of money (which will need to be a cash equivalent) that will be required before you move in.
Step 5

You are now ready to sign the tenancy agreement (usually 12 months) and inventory and the keys will be yours. No need to worry about contacting the utility companies, as we will take care of it.

Your ongoing monthly or weekly rent is then paid by standing order leaving you free to enjoy your new home.

Rent must be paid every Monday (for weekly charge) or at the first of every month (for monthly charge). Tenants can pay rent by the following:

  • In our office by cash
  • By cheque
  • By credit or debit card
  • Trough direct debit
  • Trough the web site
  • At your bank trough bank transfer

We endeavour to address all maintenance issues as soon as is practicable, and emergency repairs will be given priority. We always request that our maintenance staff contact you direct in order to obtain access to the property. Our maintenance workers will try to contact you up to three times, if after this they still haven't made contact your repair will be deferred until you make contact with us again.

If in the unfortunate circumstances, after reporting a repair, where it is classed as urgent i.e. no heating or hot water, your landlord ignores our request for longer than 48 hours; we will give the go ahead for the repair to be carried out.Once your repair has been reported, where your landlord carries out their own repairs, we will liaise with them for an estimated time scale for repairs.

If it is found that you fail to report any repairs, you could be liable for costs for any deterioration or damage resulting from any such delay. You must not instruct a contractor to undertake any work on your behalf - if you do, it will be at your own expense.
